Music you know and love

Fund raising evening - should be great fun...

A Night at the Opera?

After the England rugby team’s glorious victory last Saturday we have been left with an unfortunate clash with our Opera Fundraising evening on Saturday evening at Reed’s school in Cobham.

The show MUST and WILL go on!!

We are especially grateful to our Seniors sponsors Menzies Chartered Accountants who have generously agreed to pay for a 10ft screen and the necessary equipment to show the game in the Assembly Hall at Reed’s immediately after the performance.

There will obviously be a ban on phones and any scores during the performance and we can all watch together after the show is over (about 10pm). The bar will also remain open and we will all be in good voice!

Any queries please contact Katy Cullen on chrisandkaty@ntlworld.com

See you there

PS Anymore takers for tickets – I am sure we can fit a few more in

One of the many Fund Raising projects that teams and individuals have been working on during the summer is a Musical Opera Evening, organised by this season’s U8 parents but open to all through the CSA.

OK – so your first thought might be – what? But hold on - this is going to be a good one. Something where you get something in return for your money instead of forking out for raffles and sponsorship.

Some very talented professional singers led by Kathryn Singleton (a Minis Mum) will be performing a plethora of wonderful songs that you will all know and love – it’s not high brow Opera for the Glyndebourne classes, but is aimed to appeal to all. There will be an introduction to Opera and there will be show songs and even the odd rugby song (clean of course!) in the programme.  More specific details will follow as and when they are finalised.

It will all be performed at Reeds School where (of course) there will be a Bar and the evening will be entitled

“Music you know and love”

Information will be made available soon about how to buy tickets – it’s sure to be a sell out – but put the date in your diaries now:

Saturday 13th October at Reeds School from 8pm.

See you there!
